Rise juan, Nice One

     The Philippines was hit by different calamities. Earthquakes and volcanic eruption of Taal, typhoon Maring recently devastated Ilocos region that destroyed houses, roads, and even agriculture and the unending outbreak of coronavirus or the so-called COVID-19 that was first discovered in Wuhan China last December 2019. The first suspected case in the Philippines was investigated on January 22, 2020, and 663 suspected cases were reported as of March 1. Since then, COVID-19 greatly affected everyone's lives globally. This COVID-19 virus brought the world great challenges and trials. Some lost their loved ones, there is an economic shutdown, higher unemployment, and displaced workers which leads to hunger and poverty even school was suspended and formed into modular learning. 

        COVID-19 virus is indeed a battle not only for every Juan but for everyone. To win this battle everyone must cooperate. We must follow strictly the health protocols like wearing mask and face shield, washing of hands regularly or proper hygiene and maintaining social distancing, lockdown and conducting massive and optimizing testing is of great help. Now that vaccine is available, everyone must be vaccinated. Not only to protect yourself but for the cause of everyone. 

        Amidst these calamities and this pandemic, Filipinos were working together in building a stronger Philippines. The "Bayanihan" system is always in the heart of every Filipino. some gave help through cash donations and others gave in-kind (aka canned goods, noodles, and other important necessities. No matter how high the mountain and wide the ocean was, Filipinos always make a way to be able to extend their help to support follow Filipinos, small or big things don't matter. What matter most was the love and care you showed to the needy ones. Filipinos' resiliency amidst the pandemic & calamities always stands strong and firm. Filipinos always had a resilient spirit. We may sometimes fall, hurt and failure but somehow by God's grace, we conquer it all, we fight, we stand and we still keep going. Rise Juan, Nice One.
